Who: Central Texas Youth Services is hosting the 8th Annual Taste of Central Texas.
What: The Taste of Central Texas is a gala event where restaurants, caterers, and bakeries gather to serve up their best entrees. Participants enjoy live entertainment, a silent auction, plenty of great food, and the company of friends.
When: Tuesday, March 31, 2009  6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Where: Bell County Expo Center, Assembly Room
Why: All proceeds from the evening support Central Texas Youth Services' in the provision of services to abused/neglected children and runaway/homeless youth in Central Texas.
About Central Texas Youth Services

The mission of Central Texas Youth Services (CTYS) is to assist troubled children, youth and families toward development of their full potential through provision of quality community-based services.  CTYS is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization that provides services to runaway, homeless, and troubled youth and their families throughout the Central Texas region.  Services include crisis intervention through a 24-hour hotline, information and referral services, and a temporary crisis shelter in a licensed, supervised facility, with follow-up as appropriate.

 

CTYS programs include Option House (emergency shelter) STAR (Services To At-Risk Youth), Project Safe Place, CYD (Community Youth Development), Independent Living Skills and Life Skills for Youth, and Project FUTURE (Transitional Living Program).  All services provided by CTYS are voluntary, confidential, available 24-hours a day, and provided at no charge to youth and their families.

 

Central Texas Youth Services’ Administration is located at 204 North East Street, Suite A, Belton, Texas 76513.  The Emergency Shelter, Assessment Center, and 24-hour Crisis Care is located at 601 Parmer Avenue, Killeen, Texas 76541.  Project FUTURE is located at 305 Blair Street, Killeen Texas 76541.
